SAFETY COORDINATOR

Job Performance Measurements

  • Achieve zero-accident days consistently.
  • Successfully renew ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
  • Maintain full compliance with DOSH and DOE regulations.
  • Complete the annual safety and health training calendar (in-house & external).
  • Ensure 100% PPE compliance across all departments.
  • Achieve timely renewal of machinery licenses and compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) complies with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant government regulations (DOSH, DOE).
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to management covering safety performance indicators and regulatory compliance updates.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety and health programs to maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace.
  • Oversee contractor and maintenance activities, including permit issuance (e.g., Hot Work, Confined Space) and compliance.
  • Investigate all incidents and accidents thoroughly, identify root causes, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented and reported to DOSH.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-house and external safety training programs (e.g., PPE, Fire Drill, Emergency Response).
  • Collaborate with HODs to evaluate and update HIRARC across all departments after any incident or as needed.
  • Generate PPE-related PRs based on HIRARC, issue equipment to relevant departments, and maintain PPE usage records and matrix.
  • Lead the coordination and monthly reporting of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance.
  • Execute any additional duties assigned by the superior related to workplace safety and health.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Successfully completed the NIOSH Safety and Health Officer Course, or a Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in coordinating safety and environmental activities across departments.
  • Good knowledge of DOSH and DOE regulations
  • Skilled in risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
