Role Description

This is a contract position for the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), based in Kota Kinabalu with a hybrid work arrangement that allows for some work-from-home flexibility. The COO will oversee the organization's day-to-day operations, developing and executing strategic business plans, and ensuring alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities include optimizing operational workflows, managing budgets, driving financial performance, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to achieve organizational objectives. The COO will also identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and growth.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Business Planning and Operations Management to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Strong Analytical Skills to identify trends, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in Finance and Budgeting to oversee financial performance and allocate resources effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and promote collaboration.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and managing large-scale projects successfully.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a senior leadership role is required, preferably within multi-industry environments.
