Industrial Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization &

  • Improvement

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Design and implement process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard operating times and work measurement benchmarks.

Line Balancing &

  • Workflow Management

  • Develop and maintain line balancing strategies to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
  • Monitor and optimize work-in-progress (WIP) levels across production lines.

Standardization &

  • Documentation

  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all production processes.
  • Ensure consistency in process execution across all production lines and shifts.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing process standards and layout plans.

Data Analysis &

  • Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and present findings to the Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams.
  • Track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, cycle time, yield rate, and productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support continuous improvement projects.
  • Represent the Engineering Department in cross-functional meetings and provide engineering insights to support operational decisions.
  • Support training and development of production staff on new processes and improvement methodologies.

Engineering Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of plant layout changes, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team on new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change management.
  • Provide technical support to resolve production-related engineering issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within an Engineering function.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint);

    experience with ERP systems or AutoCAD is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously within the Engineering Department.
