Systems Engineer Co-op (Remote)

Join Raytheon as a Systems Engineer Co-op to support aerospace defense projects requiring active TS/SCI clearance in Richardson, TX.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and define system operations by creating use cases
  • Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and assist in validation and verification planning
  • Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities in labs, field, or test ranges
  • Assist in product qualification and troubleshooting, including root cause and corrective action processes
  • Perform detailed performance evaluations using analysis tools such as MATLAB
  • Prepare and present reports and briefings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in technical reviews and interchanges supporting the program
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a Master’s of Systems Engineering degree program with expected graduation in May or August 2027
  • Academic or internship experience with hands-on testing of electronic equipment
  • Exposure to troubleshooting electronics in academic, internship, or hobby settings
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as MATLAB
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance without polygraph
  • Preferred qualifications include a 3.00+ GPA, proficiency in Windows and UNIX, scripting experience (Perl, Python, VBA), Agile development exposure, Microsoft Office knowledge, previous internships, and understanding of systems engineering lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $37,000 - $82,000 USD, based on experience and qualifications
