School Psychologist & Career Counsellor

We are looking for a qualified and grounded School Psychologist & Career Counsellor who can do more than just sit with reports. This role is hands-on inside a school ecosystem supporting student well-being, driving career clarity, and delivering structured life skills education through the SkillsForUs curriculum.

Location: Multiple Tier-3 Cities, Uttar Pradesh (Relocation Mandatory)

You’ll work directly with students, teachers, and school leadership to build a mentally healthy, future-ready student community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Psychological Support & Student Well-being
  • Conduct classroom sessions for students.
  • Identify learning difficulties, developmental concerns, and mental health issues; recommend interventions
  • Maintain confidential student records and psychological reports
  • Conduct psychometric assessments where required
  • Run awareness sessions on mental health, emotional regulation, and resilience
  • Conduct events, podcasts, create newsletters and maintain reports .
2. Career Counselling & Guidance
  • Deliver structured career awareness sessions for primary, middle and senior school students
  • Guide students on subject selection, stream choices, and career pathways (aligned with NEP and board expectations)
  • Use standardized career assessment tools and interpret results
  • Organize career fairs, expert talks, and parent orientation sessions
  • Stay updated on higher education trends, entrance exams, and emerging careers
3. SkillsForUs Curriculum Delivery
  • Implement the SkillsForUs curriculum through:
  • Life skills sessions (communication, decision-making, critical thinking, etc.)
  • Career readiness modules
  • Experiential and activity-based learning formats
  • Ensure sessions are interactive, structured, and outcome-driven
  • Track student progress and submit regular reports
4. School Ecosystem Collaboration
  • Work closely with teachers to support classroom behavior strategies and inclusive education practices
  • Train teachers on basic psychological first aid and student engagement strategies
  • Engage with parents through workshops and one-on-one interactions
  • Contribute to school policies around student safety, well-being, and guidance
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology (Clinical / Counselling / Applied Psychology preferred) from a recognized university
  • Diploma / Certification in Guidance & Counselling (NCERT / RCI / equivalent recognized body preferred)
  • Candidates with M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology or RCI License will be strongly preferred
  • Formal training or certification in Career Counselling / Career Guidance is a plus
Required Skill Set
  • Strong counselling and active listening skills (non-negotiable)
  • Ability to handle sensitive student cases with professionalism and discretion
  • Solid understanding of child and adolescent psychology
  • Familiarity with psychometric tools and career assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (you’ll be speaking to students a lot)
  • Classroom facilitation skills for delivering life skills and career sessions
  • Organized, structured, and able to manage documentation and reporting
  • Comfortable working in evolving, resource-constrained school environments
Work Requirements & Expectations
  • Relocation is mandatory to Tier-3 cities across Uttar Pradesh
  • Willingness to work full-time within a school campus environment
  • Ability to adapt to diverse cultural and socio-economic student backgrounds
  • Travel between nearby schools may be required occasionally

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹18,217.16 - ₹35,131.01 per month
