[Remote] Building Operational Technology Integration Specialist (Senior or Lead)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Boeing Company is seeking a Building Operational Technology Integration Specialist at the Senior or Lead level to join its Building Operational Technology team. The role integrates systems, platforms, and data supporting critical industrial and infrastructure systems, while developing operational frameworks, troubleshooting building management systems, supporting SCADA integration, and improving cybersecurity compliance and operational visibility.
Responsibilities
- Build processes, standards, and operational frameworks from the ground up
- Assesses current Operational Technology systems for compliance with IT and OT cybersecurity standards and regulations
- Support technical troubleshooting and remediation for Building Management Systems / Building Automation Systems, including controllers, field devices, sensors, and system integrations
- Analyze and resolve Building Management System alarms, faults, and abnormal conditions; determine root cause (software, hardware, instrumentation, network) and implement corrective actions to reduce nuisance alarms and false trips
- Support alarm rationalization and tuning of fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) rules, applying the enterprise alarm and fault priority standard to improve signal quality and reduce operator workload
- Evaluate integrations between Building Management Systems and enterprise systems (Information Technology interfaces, fault management, analytic platforms, and Computerized Maintenance Management System) to ensure reliable data flow and operational visibility
- Support nationwide rollout and integration of the enterprise Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platform for building and infrastructure monitoring; analyze configuration and connectivity issues and coordinate fixes with the site teams, integrators, and vendors
- Facilitate discussions and meetings to address IT compliance requirements and operational needs, to include forecasting of new systems or enhancements and upgrades of existing systems
- Troubleshoot industrial communication networks and protocols (BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP) including use of network analyzers and diagnostic tools
- Assist with the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including integration specifications, as-built configurations, and site onboarding records
Skills
- * Bachelor's degree or higher
- * 5+ years of experience with Operational Technology
- * 5+ years of experience in Real Estate, Facilities Operations and/or Facilities Management
- * Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
- * Experience developing and managing internal processes and procedures
- * Domestic travel up to 25%
