This will be the first hire in the region, so we need someone who is entrepreneurial, credible, with experience in building and scaling partnerships from the ground up.

The individual must be comfortable operating across multiple levels of partnership engagement — from tactical, referral-based activity through to strategic partnerships. In the early stages, they will need to work across the full spectrum while the ecosystem is being built.

We need someone who is highly results-focused, with the ability to ramp quickly and deliver impact in a short timeframe.

Background / Experience:

Experience in software or technology companies, ideally in high-growth environments.
Experience across referral, reseller, white-label, and distribution partner motions.
Strong understanding of the HR, payroll, or adjacent markets. Candidates from outside payroll/HR must clearly demonstrate a strong understanding of the space.
Ideally, the candidate will be well connected within the Japanese partner ecosystem, with an existing network that can help accelerate partner recruitment and early pipeline generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and scale the partner ecosystem in Japan, including referral, reseller, white-label, and distribution partners.
Drive partner recruitment, onboarding, and enablement, ensuring partners are set up to deliver pipeline and revenue.
Operate across all partnership levels, from tactical execution to strategic planning, adapting to the evolving ecosystem.
Collaborate with internal teams (leadership, sales, marketing, customer success) to align partner activities with business objectives.
Deliver measurable results quickly, ensuring short-term wins while laying the foundation for long-term partnership success.

Success Metrics:

Number of partners recruited and activated in Japan.
Partner-driven pipeline generation and contribution to ARR.

Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion.
Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
