Field Application Specialist
<p><b><u>Main Tasks</u></b></p><p><br><b>1.</b> Interpret and communicate the applicable company requirement and mandatory SHE regulations to RDE staff, including recommendation on best practice and improvement actions to support RDE staff to meet the SHE standards.<br><b>2.</b> Set up RDE SHE objective and actively implement SHE action plan to meet or exceed the objective. <br><b>3.</b> Implement company safety standards and guidelines and work with RDE group leaders to identify the potential safety/health hazards covering lab operation etc. to eliminate safety potential risk.<br>Review new/existing chemicals, equipment, and processes for potential hazards and recommend to the lab leaders for modifications.<br><b>4.</b> Consolidate the training needs, develop the SHE training programs and conduct training to strengthen the staffs’ awareness & skill on SHE.<br><b>5.</b> Monitoring SHE performance, Identify and interpret applicable SHE regulations to recommend priorities and improvement actions, including developing safe work practices and measures with RDE staffs to monitor conformance through safety and housekeeping inspections.<br><b>6. </b>Organize the Internal Audits of SHE at RDE site and finalize the audit reports. Follow up the corrective & Preventive action to close audit finding.<br><b>7. </b>Accident follow-up according to company requirements, assist in/lead the investigation of accidents or problem areas to recommend improvement/ preventive measures.<br><b>8. </b>Establish and maintain a documentation system to keep record, communication materials, inspection & audit report etc. to ensure documentation meet the management requirement of SHE system & relevant regulation.</p><p>9. Keep close communication with local government to ensure SHE compliance with local regulation.<br><b>9.</b> Prepare SHE statistics, analysis and reports (e.g. accidents, monthly report) for internal and external SHE requirements.</p><p>10. Deepen chemical lifecycle management: Lead the development and maintenance of a chemical safety database, oversee the full lifecycle control of hazardous chemicals (procurement, storage, usage, waste,disposal), and manage special chemicals (e.g., toxic, DP, EP) with supervision.</p><p>11. Enhance process and equipment safety: Apply process hazard analysis (PHA) methodologies (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA) to assess R&D process risks, participate in equipment safety reviews (mechanical, electrical, pressure vessel safety), and review safety interlock logic for automated control systems (DCS/PLC) to prevent process failure risks.</p><p>12. Enable innovative safety in R&D: Embed SHE assessments throughout the R&D project lifecycle, provide flexible safety solutions for innovative activities, and balance innovation with safety compliance for new products, processes, and equipment.</p><p>13. Drive digital SHE transformation: Leverage SHE management software, IoT monitoring systems, and big data analytics to optimize EHS operations, and use data-driven insights to predict and mitigate safety risks.</p><p>14. Lead SHE culture and influence: SHE culture building, influence management decision-making to prioritize EHS investment, and enhance overall safety awareness and behavior across the R&D center.</p><p>15. other tasks from the directed supervisors.<br><br><b><u>Technical & Professional Knowledge</u></b></p><p></p><p>- Actively, positively, patiently, and with strong cross-functional communication skills.<br>- Major in Chemical, Safety Engineering, or a related field.<br>- 5+ years of SHE management experience in a R&D center, chemical lab, or chemical plant, with hands-on experience in chemical safety, process safety, equipment safety and Chemical management (inclu DP, EP ) .<br>- Skilled in process hazard analysis (PHA) methodologies (HAZOP, FMEA) & equipment safety assessments; <br>- Experienced in integrating SHE into R&D processes (EHS-in-R&D) and conducting safety assessments for new products, processes, and equipment.<br>- Familiar with and willing to apply digital tools (management systems, IoT monitoring, data analytics) and data-driven decision-making.<br>- Demonstrated leadership and influence in driving SHE culture, with experience in team or project management to deliver SHE objectives.</p>
