Responsibilities:

Responsibilities must be fulfilled and duties carried out, regardless of whether or not accommodations are needed.

  • Managing inventory selection and reception activities to meet retail demand efficiently.
  • Movement of merchandise within the warehouse is guided by regulations for product handling.
  • Methodically prepares merchandise for dispatch by organizing and classifying them, and receives incoming shipments from trucks or back-hauls by unloading them.
  • Undertakes general cleaning responsibilities to promote warehouse sanitation and hygiene, minimizing the risk of infections and diseases.
  • Performs stocktaking of warehouses, following procedures as specified.
  • Effective collaboration with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership is made possible through regular communication and sharing of information by this individual.
  • Presents insights to warehouse management on improving logistics procedures.
  • Check over merchandise, confers with the warehouse leadership team concerning the quality of products, potential safety risks, and sanitary troubles.
  • Takes sole responsibility for decision-making and problem-solving within the assigned domain of accountability.
  • Facilitates the achievement of budgeted objectives for warehouse management.
  • Carries out all allocated tasks with accuracy, proficiency, and conformity to established company policies and regulations.
  • Adopts the recommended processes for implementing the ergonomic program.
  • Adheres to safety regulations when operating equipment to carry out critical duties.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently relocate merchandise from the warehouse and make it ready for delivery to various stores.
  • Warehouse employees must be able to carry out tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking frequently.
  • This profession insists on performing the duties efficiently under fluctuating temperatures, where exposure to outdoor weather, as well as refrigerator and freezer conditions, is commonplace.
  • The ability to maneuver powered industrial equipment efficiently and safely is a vital skill to have.
