Warehouse Associate- 1st Shift 5:30am - 2:00pm (Monday-Friday)

Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing stock.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive, place and load incoming/outgoing stock which requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs unassisted (maximum), 51+lbs assisted on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day Verify receiving/shipping documents and accurate product counts Operate packaging and material movement equipment Additional duties as assigned by managerScopeStaff supervision and development: NoDecision makingTravel: Up to 5%Flex Designation: DC BasedRequirementsEducation and ExperienceEducation RequirementsHigh School or GED Years of ExperienceExperience in warehouse environment preferredSkillsEducation and/or Experience - High school diploma/GED equivalentExperience in warehouse environment preferredUnderstand product description, SKU and PO numbersBasic mathematic skills to include an understanding of geometry in order to build stable palletsReading comprehension and ability to communicate in writingExperience (Required) -Skills (Required) -Skills (Preferred / Desired) -Additional Qualifications (behavioral traits, certifications, etc.) -Physical RequirementsStanding, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day.Grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day.Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day.Ability to safely team lift, lower, and move items up to 50lbs unassisted (maximum), 51+lbs assisted over the course of a work daySit or stand continuously for up to twelve hours per day.Must be comfortable working with and around forklifts, conveyer systems, scissor lifts, and hazardous machinery.Must be comfortable with performing many of the tasks listed above from a ladder up to fifteen feet in elevation above the floor surface observing safety controls.Must utilize proper safety controls at all times.Must be able to drive automobiles, forklifts and scissor lifts.SafetyMust be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.The anticipated rate for this position is $22.00 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays).
