This will include driving the Supply Chain, Cost Management, Estimating, and Scheduling functions while partnering with the functional leads of those areas. Initially the VP will help develop the campus wide strategic plans and then execute according to those plans to deliver capacity on time and within budget<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>What we are looking for </b></p><p>Key responsibilities</p><ul><li>Responsible for building and leading the team of professionals as well as oversight and strategic direction for supply chain, cost, estimating, and schedule team members.</li><li>Develops, implements, and manages the governance programs associated with planning and using capex funding appropriately to meet company objectives.  Includes development and documenting procedures to drive compliance with company policies. </li><li>Ensures necessary controls are in place to predictably deliver major programs while also meeting internal control requirements. </li><li>Coordinates the development of the capital funding process specific to this program and partners with functional leads on process and standards. </li><li>Executive level communication across the organization, including presenting KPIs to executives.</li><li>Develop control systems that will drive consistent, reliable, and accurate assessment of the financial position for projects.  This may include, but not limited to, early phase project budgeting, development of project cost program, cost report functionality, detailed forecasting methods, evaluation of cost changes, procedures for reviewing application for payments, and overall compliance to company financial requirements. </li><li>Produce Executive level/ Management level reports necessary to share accurate financial position. </li><li>Work closely with NTT GDC suppliers to meet financial reporting requirements (commits, spends, and forecasts).  Develop program of internal and external benchmarks to enable project decision making. </li><li>Develops and drives sourcing strategies that will enable Construction, Design and Business Goals. </li><li>Develop, implement, and manage commercial KPIs for project health reporting (budget, cost, schedule, changes, forecasts, etc). </li><li>Partner with cross functional groups across the organization to ensure alignment of strategy and execution plans. </li></ul><p></p><p>KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES</p><ul><li>Must possess a clear understanding of the full construction life cycle with substantial project experience.</li><li>Proven capability to manage cost control systems on complex projects from pre-design through closeout. </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.</li><li>Capability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.</li><li>Ability to clearly set and lead meetings to develop strong project control systems.</li><li>Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft Office programs with very strong capabilities in Excel.</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>Manages stress and/or fast pace effectively.</li><li>Excellent analytical, creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills</li></ul><p></p><p>ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Management, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.  MBA is a plus. </li></ul><p></p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE</p><ul><li>15 year+ experience with construction cost management responsibilities that may include preconstruction planning, cost management strategies, construction supply chain, estimating, and schedule experiences.  Significant Data Center project experience preferred. </li><li>Experience with people management and leading a team of commercial construction professionals.</li></ul><p></p><p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p><ul><li>Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.</li><li>Able to hear and speak into a telephone.</li><li>Close visual work on a computer terminal.</li><li>Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.</li></ul><p></p><p>Work conditions & other requirements</p><ul><li>Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer, thus must have high speed internet.</li><li>This role is expected to work remote with ability to travel up to 50% to project site.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Compensation Pay Range</b></p><p>"This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device.<br>NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location.
