Technical Project Management Internship

Job Description The Technical Project Management Intern will support project planning, coordination, documentation, reporting, and communication across technical teams. This internship is designed for someone who is organized, curious, proactive, and interested in how technology projects move from idea to execution.

This role is a great fit for a student who enjoys working with people, solving problems, asking good questions, and keeping teams aligned. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable around technical concepts and excited to learn how software, systems, infrastructure, product, and mission support teams work together.

What You Will Do As a Technical Project Management Intern, you may support work such as:

  • Coordinate project tasks, deadlines, and team updates across technical and business teams.
  • Help maintain project trackers, action item logs, meeting notes, and status reports.
  • Support project managers and technical leads with planning, documentation, and follow up.
  • Attend meetings with engineering, product, operations, or customer facing teams to capture key decisions and next steps.
  • Assist with organizing project requirements, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Help turn technical updates into clear communication for internal stakeholders.
  • Support process improvement efforts by identifying gaps, friction points, or opportunities to make work more efficient.
  • Learn how technical teams manage scope, timelines, priorities, and delivery expectations.
  • Contribute to internship projects that create real value for Veilant teams.

Qualifications What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business, Engineering, Operations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Interested in technology, defense, national security, software, systems, infrastructure, or technical operations.
  • Highly organized and able to manage details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • A strong communicator who can write clearly and follow up professionally.
  • Curious and willing to ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Comfortable working with different personalities and technical teams.
  • Able to take initiative, own assigned tasks, and follow through.
  • Motivated by meaningful work and real world impact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to project management tools, task trackers, documentation platforms, or collaboration tools.
  • Interest in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product delivery, software development, systems engineering, or technical operations.
  • Basic understanding of technology concepts such as software development, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, networking, or systems administration.
  • Experience leading a school project, club, volunteer effort, team activity, or group assignment.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
