SVOD Strategy Senior Manager - Line of Business Management

About the position

We're looking for SVOD Strategy Senior Manager - Line of Business Management at Crunchyroll, you will play a critical role in driving the performance and commercial health of the SVOD line of business. Reporting to the Director of SVOD Strategy - Line of Business Management, you will analyze subscriber and revenue performance, build SVOD lifecycle and forecasting models, and develop insights that inform decisions across core commercial levers such as pricing, packaging, promotions, and distribution. You will partner closely with Growth, Product, Finance, Analytics, and regional teams to evaluate and optimize SVOD performance across the full subscriber lifecycle. We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate subscriber lifecycle health (acquisition, engagement, retention, churn, ARPU, LTV) to identify trends, diagnose drivers, and surface growth opportunities.
  • Build and manage SVOD data and forecasting models to project subscriber and revenue growth, cohort behavior, and long-term LTV under different commercial scenarios.
  • Support development of strategic guardrails and frameworks for SVOD commercial levers to guide Growth, Go-to-Market, and Business Development decisions.
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and regional teams to evaluate local pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies, modeling impact on acquisition, retention, and revenue.
  • Support quarterly SVOD business reviews, including performance reporting, test results, and prioritized actions to improve subscriber and revenue outcomes.
  • Partner with Growth, Product, and Analytics to design structured tests on commercial levers and translate results into recommendations.
  • Analyze SVOD competitor strategies, market trends, and product innovations to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with SVOD and Membership Strategy teams to align priorities across interdependent initiatives and LOB improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc SVOD strategy initiatives for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or subscription/streaming strategy roles, including 2+ years hands-on expertise in SVOD strategy, analytics, and business modeling.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including SVOD subscriber and revenue data modeling and financial/performance modeling; sensitivity analysis; and interpretation of complex datasets
  • Experience with subscription economics and lifecycle metrics (acquisition, retention, churn, ARPU, LTV)
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear business insights and recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
