Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Supply Chain Assistant in Richmond, Virginia. The Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and management of supply chain processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, and helping streamline inventory and logistics functions. Seeking candidates with familiarity with inventory management, procurement processes, or logistics; Experience with supply chain management software or ERP systems; Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics role is a plus but not required; High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field is preferred. Requirements for the Supply Chain Assistant position include: General knowledge of supply chain practices. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Must be able to function in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work overtime as required to meet business and customer demands.
