Higgins Group Inc. is offering a hands-on Summer Internship Program for motivated high school and/or college students interested in exploring careers in construction, skilled trades, and business operations.

This is not a "watch from the sidelines" internship-you'll get real experience, work alongside professionals, and learn skills that can set you up for a long-term career.

Internship Tracks (Exposure May Include):

  • Carpentry (Framing, Drywall, ACT Ceilings)
  • Glazing (Window & Glass Installation)
  • Architectural Millwork (Cabinetry & Custom Fabrication)
  • Texture Spray & Finishing
  • Estimating (Project Bidding & Cost Analysis)
  • Office Administration (HR, Recruiting, Operations)
Interns may rotate between departments or be placed based on interest and availability.

What You'll Do

  • Assist crews on active commercial job sites
  • Learn and apply basic construction techniques
  • Use tools, materials, and safety equipment properly
  • Shadow estimators and learn how projects are priced
  • Support office teams with administrative tasks
  • Participate in mentorship and skill-building sessions
  • Gain exposure to real-world job expectations and teamwork
