Senior Reservoir Engineer

Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in **Miami, Florida, US**. This pivotal role will involve extensive analysis, modeling, and forecasting of oil and gas reservoirs to optimize production and maximize economic recovery. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid flow in porous media, and advanced simulation techniques.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed reservoir studies, including material balance, decline curve analysis, and volumetric calculations. Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software to predict future reservoir performance under various development scenarios. Analyze production data, well tests, and core data to understand reservoir characteristics and heterogeneities. Design and recommend well interventions, workovers, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies to improve recovery factors. Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop integrated field development plans. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and economic evaluations for management and stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the reservoir engineering discipline within the company. Stay abreast of the latest technologies, methodologies, and best practices in reservoir engineering. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong emphasis on numerical simulation and field development. Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex reservoir data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively to diverse audiences. Proven track record of successful reservoir management and development projects. Experience with economic evaluation tools and techniques is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
