Senior Full Stack Developer (Remote Opportunity)

<p>VetsEZ is seeking a <strong>Senior Full Stack Developer</strong> to support a large federal healthcare technology program. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications, APIs, and supporting services across front-end, back-end, and data layers. You will work with architects, product leads, testers, and DevSecOps teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. </p> <p>The candidate must reside within the continental US.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Design, build, enhance, and support full stack applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.</li><li>Develop APIs, user interfaces, business logic, and data access components that support platform workflows and integration needs.</li><li>Collaborate with product, design, and architecture stakeholders to translate requirements into working software solutions.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and release support activities.</li><li>Optimize applications for performance, usability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.</li><li>Build and maintain integrations with internal services, external systems, and shared platform capabilities.</li><li>Support defect resolution, production support, and continuous improvement across the application lifecycle.</li><li>Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and reusable development practices.</li><li>Work within Agile delivery processes and partner with QA and DevSecOps teams to ensure release readiness.</li><li>Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.</li></ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul><li>A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including front-end, back-end, and database work.</li><li>Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.</li><li>Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.</li><li>Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and application data modeling.</li><li>Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot across UI, service, and data layers.</li><li>Strong understanding of secure coding, web development best practices, and software quality principles.</li><li>Experience working in Agile teams and participating in estimation, refinement, and review activities.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Ability to obtain a Government clearance.</li></ul> <p><strong>Additional Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul><li>Experience with InterSystems IRIS, healthcare integrations, or enterprise interoperability platforms is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with React, Redux, Python, PostgreSQL, or containerized deployments is desirable.</li><li>Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs or federal healthcare programs is preferred.</li><li>Relevant certifications in cloud, Agile, or software development are a plus.</li><li>Experience supporting remote, multi-team delivery environments is preferred.</li></ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul><li>Medical/Dental/Vision</li><li>401k with Matching</li><li>Corporate Laptop</li><li>PTO + Federal Holidays</li><li>Training opportunities</li><li>Remote opportunity</li></ul> <p><strong>Note:</strong> Selected candidates will be required to complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.</p> <p>Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.</p> <p>Sorry, we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time. </p>
