In this role you will join our Centralized Field Engineering (CFE) organization providing operational support for the United States Air Force worldwide deployable program. </p><p></p><p>Onboarding and Training will be at Beale Air Force Base, California for 2 to 3 months.</p><p></p><p>This unaccompanied role is mission essential and will be onsite in an undisclosed location in the United Kingdom for an international assignment with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and additional compensation.</p><p></p><p>Ability to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.</p><p></p><p>Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination. </p><p></p><p><b>Special Work Conditions</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Working rotating shifts is required.</li><li>Travel and long working hours are anticipated.</li><li>Must be able to lift 40 pounds and able to sit for long periods of time.</li><li>Must be willing and able to get all inoculations required by the US military.</li><li>Must be able and ready to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.</li><li>Must be willing and able to deploy to environments that may include harsh living conditions (extreme heat and cold, deployed living conditions, etc.).</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Perform product implementation, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.</li><li>Focused on team-oriented tasks while supporting the customer’s mission and initiatives.</li><li>Ensure training requirements (customer and company) are kept up to date and completed ahead of schedule.</li><li>Monitor, analyze and characterize the performance of complex data processing systems.</li><li>Trace isolated faults and distinguish between hardware and software fault sources.</li><li>Recommend, initiate, and oversee actions to correct faults.</li><li>Maintain sensor equipment on aircraft.</li><li>Provide support on the U.S. Air Force flight-line to operate and conduct pre-mission activities.</li><li>Provide support for aircraft checkout prior to flights.</li><li>Integrate and updated software and hardware.</li><li>Work with a global team of users, analysts, and other contractor personnel, and customers.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications You Must Have</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5+ years of prior engineering experience.</li><li>Experience with military, data processing, system administration, radar, IR, or radio frequency.</li><li>Experience and expertise in sensor payload maintenance.</li><li>Experience with U.S. Air Force Flight line courtesies and regulations.</li><li>Experience using UNIX.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of Solaris and RADAR philosophy.</li><li>Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. </li><li>U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Experience / knowledge using military equipment accounts and Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS).</li><li>Experience working with SAR imagery.</li><li>Experience reading electrical wiring schematics and diagrams for system troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience performing electrical wiring and cannon plug repairs.</li><li>Experience using soldering station.</li><li>Experience using digital fiber optic scope and power meters to perform fiber optic inspection / maintenance.</li><li>Experience using digital oscilloscope, signal generators and multi meters.</li><li>Experience maintaining shop programs as directed by AFI policy with minimal supervision.</li><li>Effective oral and written communication abilities.</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills interacting productively with end users, analysts, other internal personnel, and customers in a global team setting.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We Offer</b></p><p></p><p>Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
