Senior Analyst, Commercial Real Estate Investment Management

What you'll be doing

•Underwrite new commercial real estate loans and present analysis and investment recommendations to the Managing Director(s).
•Support in business development through mortgage banking relationships within assigned geographic territory.
•Draft term sheets, applications and other transaction related documents.
•Complete due diligence including review of leases, rent rolls, third party reports, estoppels, and other business-related matters.
•Draft investment committee memos and present for approval to the Head of Real Estate.
•Serve as business liaison throughout the loan closing process working collaboratively with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to effectuate a timely closing.
•Travel for due diligence and business development trips.
•Support Portfolio Management through surveillance of existing loan portfolio and assisting with special servicing requests.
•Additional investment support may include equity and credit fund investments.

Additional Responsibilities and Support
•Analysis of commercial real estate partnerships, and wholly owned real estate (OREO and REO).
•Review annual operating statements and annual site inspection reports for existing properties within the portfolio.

What we’re looking for

•4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar field
•1-3+Years’ experience required in financial analysis and investments that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. Commercial real estate finance and/or commercial real estate investment and analysis preferred.
•Introductory knowledge of commercial real estate principles and fundamentals.
•Introductory knowledge of national commercial real estate and mortgage markets and macro-economic trends that affect those markets.
•Ability to understand and evaluate real estate financial statements.
•Introductory knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate valuation.
•Introductory knowledge of real estate legal concepts and understanding of loan documents.
•Ability to understand and apply financial concepts such as but not limited to Future Value, Present Value, Compound Interest, Discounting, Capitalization Rates, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CoStar (preferred).
•Travel – up to 25%
