Working in coordination with the Billing leadership team, utilize billing knowledge to ensure the timely and accurate processing of patient accounts. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a strong desire to work individually while meeting the needs of a national organization. An important key requirement is the self-accountability to drive success in a virtual team environment. </span><b>This position is fully remote and can be performed anywhere within the United States.</b></p></div><div><p></p><p><b>Compensation</b>: $20.00- $24.00 Hourly with potential bonus</p><p></p><div><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p></div><div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Claim level responsibilities are performed after a national trend has been </span><span>identified</span><span> and root </span><span>caused</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Maintain current information on correct and lawful practices for billing </span><span>payers</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Claim level actions to </span><span>submit</span><span> corrected claims to payer(s) for </span><span>reconsideration</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>May include some posting review or actions to resubmit claims to a </span><span>payer</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Verify patient demographic information as it related to status of patient’s insurance as well as </span><span>COB</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Review of ERA’s received and understanding of charges, expected allowable and actual </span><span>allowable</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p></div><div><p><b><span>Skills & Experience:</span></b><span>  </span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>High school diploma or GED equivalent </span><span>requir</span><span>ed</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>1+ year of experience in a medical billing role</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>2+ years </span></span><span><span>Behavioral Health/Mental Health space</span> <span>preferably</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Previous</span><span> experience with an electronic medical/health record, preferably A</span><span>dvancedMD</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Understanding of EAP and Behavioral Health carve out </span><span>plans</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Understanding of CPT, modifiers, Mental Health provider types and how each impact reimbursement</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Understanding of associated privacy legislation related to healthcare information, i.e., </span><span>HIPAA</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Strong attention to detail</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Demonstrates</span><span> awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of </span><span>culture</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
