Role Description The Government Relations Intern will play a key role in supporting the evaluation and execution of strategies to strengthen Delta Defense’s relationships with government and public sector stakeholders.

Responsibilities include conducting research on local policies, tracking legislative developments, preparing briefing materials, assisting with presentations, and engaging in communication with relevant government entities. The intern will also contribute to compliance monitoring and reporting efforts. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Government Relations and understanding of public policies and legislative processes.
  • Strong verbal and written Communication skills for interfacing with government and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills to review legislative documentation and policy changes effectively.
  • Knowledge of Local Government structures and familiarity with Public Sector operations.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience or interest in the defense industry or public policy is a plus.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
