Operations Training Manager
<p>We are currently looking for a dynamic Operations Training Manager (OTM) to join our field leadership team in the Toronto (GTA) region. In this NEW strategic and collaborative role, you will be responsible for strengthening talent pipelines by delivering structured, hands-on training for external hires and internal succession candidates. This position is a field-based role requiring extensive travel to various retail locations. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the OTM ensures training is consistent, measurable, and aligned with brand standards and business objectives.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will also be responsible to:</p><ul><li>Utilize both hands-on training and weekly follow-up for all new external Store Managers.</li><li>Recertify training for current EB Store Managers to ensure that operational knowledge is consistent with company standards.</li><li>Validate operational competence for succession candidates as part of the internal promotion process.</li><li>Conduct weekly verbal and in-store check-ins with external management hires throughout their training period.</li><li>Develop a FY26 comprehensive training process that focuses on “the how” to support the current training process which outlines “the what”.</li><li>Develop new online training content through collaboration amongst various field and head office partners.</li><li>Liaison with the Field Leader, Reginal Director and head office on new field initiatives with specific focus on training and leading the change curve across stores.</li><li>Maintain regular written and verbal communication with Field Leaders to ensure consistent development progress.</li><li>Escalate concerns to appropriate leadership when necessary.</li><li>Participate in all regional FL activities including conference calls and meetings.</li><li>Partner with FL to identify and develop district trainers in all markets.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Qualifications & Requirements:</p><ul><li>Proven subject matter expert in operations.</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in visual merchandising standards.</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>Proficient with all MS tools and related technology.</li><li>Organized, structured and collaborative.</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University or equivalent experience (minimum of 3 years multi-unit retail management and/or training experience).</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Valid Drivers license and vehicle are required for this opportunity. The Operations Training Manager must be able to work at EB Games downtown Toronto (flagship) location every Monday, and from Tuesday to Friday, they will need to travel to various Toronto store locations.
