About the position

As a brand communications manager, you'll bring some of Starbucks most exciting customer experiences to life, from Starbucks Rewards and digital innovations to can't-miss merchandise partnerships. You'll lead creative external communications strategies that turn everyday moments into headlines, shape the conversation around the customer experiences, and help customers connect with the brand in fresh and meaningful ways. Responsibilities
- Develop and lead integrated external communications plans that elevate the Starbucks customer experience through compelling storytelling, media engagement, and proactive reputation management.
- Develop narratives, media materials, and proactive and reactive communications strategies that drive awareness and engagement.
- Partner across marketing, product, and internal communications teams to deliver coordinated, high-impact go-to-market communications plans.
- Shape and land meaningful earned media stories in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a collaborative, the ability to proactively land and shape media stories as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in consumer or brand external communications, preferably at a global consumer brand and/or at a PR agency (at least 7 years).
- A well-rounded background in external communications and public relations, equal parts storyteller, strategist, and media expert.
- Proven media relations experience and writing capabilities (at least 7 years).
- Experience building creative consumer brand campaigns through an earned media lens and earned influencers (at least 7 years).
- Adaptable, curious, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused business.
