The Loan Review Commercial Examiner II independently conducts borrower file reviews, in concert with leadership, relative to ongoing Examinations and continuous review testing activities.</h2><p></p><p>Depth & Scope:</p><ul><li>Conducts independent, high quality, comprehensive reviews of borrowers across a diverse range of Commercial loan portfolios to assess underwriting adequacy, portfolio monitoring activities, documentation adequacy, collateral valuations, risk rating accuracy, and problem loan administration</li><li>Interprets and applies Regulatory feedback and requirements as well as Bank policies and credit standards and evaluates adherence of reviewed credits to these policies, credit standards, risk limits and Regulatory guidance</li><li>Analyzes and interprets borrower specific information, including an independent assessment of repayment capacity, management capability, covenant adherence, legal documentation, and industry risk</li><li>Utilizes independent judgment and subject matter expertise to develop and provide management with a risk rating assessment for all borrowers reviewed, ultimately in support of the Bank's Expected Loss determination</li><li>Participates in and contributes to risk rating discussions, both internally and with Line of Business partners</li><li>Utilizes and applies subject matter expertise in development of job aids in support of Examination activities</li><li>Interacts independently and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with lending and credit management staff in conjunction with loan reviews. Works productively to resolve any discrepancies and disputes with lending and credit management, incorporating Line of Business feedback in final assessments, where appropriate</li><li>Maintains an expert  working knowledge of Bank credit policies and procedures to measure appropriate adherence during loan reviews. Initiates independent professional development to stay well informed on credit products and structures, industry trends and regulatory changes</li><li>Produces workpapers documenting review findings for internal presentation to Loan Review management and external presentation to Line of Business partners and Regulatory review</li><li>Manages workflow in accordance with department standards</li><li>Aids and assists in the professional development of other Commercial Examiners as deemed appropriate.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of customer information at all times.</li><li>Performs other related duties as required</li></ul><p></p><h2>Preferred Qualifications:</h2><ul><li><h2>Highly competent in commercial credit analysis, credit risk assessment, and risk rating via Regulatory definitions</h2></li><li><h2>Able to work well with and influence others over whom they have no direct management control</h2></li><li><h2>Effective collaboration and coaching via strong spoken and written communication</h2></li><li><h2>Highly organized and attentive to detail</h2></li><li><h2>Able to make observations and connections that may highlight potential credit risk</h2></li><li><h2>Able to determine, support, and advocate for a position based on available data and knowledge</h2></li><li><h2>Able to effectively communicate potential credit risk up to Exam Management</h2></li><li><h2>Able to navigate well potentially contentious circumstances</h2></li></ul><p></p><p>Education & Experience:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in business or related field required.
