<p><strong>About Prepare Medical</strong></p><p>Prepare Medical (preparemedical.com) is Canada’s first physician-prescribed emergency medication supply provider. We equip individuals, families, and communities with physician- approved, ready-to-use emergency medical kits — designed to bridge critical gaps in access to care, especially in remote and underserved communities. Our kits are covered under the Non- Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program, making them accessible to eligible First Nations, Métis, and Inuit community members across Canada.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Prepare Medical is seeking a driven and community-connected Indigenous Community Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us expand access to NIHB-covered emergency medical kits across First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities in British Columbia. This is a meaningful, flexible contract role that combines relationship-building with purpose- driven work.</p><p>As our Indigenous Community Liaison and BDR, you will serve as a trusted bridge between Prepare Medical and the communities we serve — helping community members and health administrators understand how to access life-saving emergency medication supplies at no out- of-pocket cost through NIHB.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Build and nurture relationships with Indigenous community leaders, health directors, Band offices, and community health representatives (CHRs) across BC</p></li><li><p>Educate communities and health administrators on Prepare Medical’s NIHB-covered emergency medical kits and the enrollment/ordering process</p></li><li><p>Identify and develop new community partnerships and business development opportunities</p></li><li><p>Act as a knowledgeable resource on the NIHB program and how it applies to Prepare Medical’s offerings</p></li><li><p>Represent Prepare Medical at community events, health fairs, and virtual meetings</p></li><li><p>Provide feedback from communities to help shape our outreach strategy and product development</p></li><li><p>Track and report on outreach activities and pipeline progress</p><p></p></li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li><p>Existing relationships within First Nations, Métis, or Inuit communities in BC</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with the NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) program</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong communication, relationship-building, and community engagement skills</p></li><li><p>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote contract role</p></li><li><p>Understanding of Indigenous community health priorities, structures, and protocols</p></li><li><p>Experience in sales, business development, community health, or health administration is an asset</p></li><li><p>Lived experience, community connection, and or cultural grounding that strengths community practice will be an asset</p></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Details</strong></p><ul><li><p>Employment Type: Contract (Independent Contractor)</p></li><li><p>Location: BC-Based — Remote/Work from Home with community travel as needed</p></li><li><p>Compensation: Contract base rate + commission on successful community enrollments and kit orders</p></li><li><p>Schedule: Flexible — manage your own hours and outreach</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Prepare Medical?</strong></p><p>This role is more than a sales position — it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference in community health and emergency preparedness.
