Given the nature of these activities, DFi worksclosely with the President's office, Executive Directors, WBG SeniorManagement, corporate and operations units across the WBG, funding partners andgovernment officials. The VPU has two departments - IDA Mobilization and IBRD Corporate Finance (DFFPO) and Trust Fundsand Partner Relations (DFTPR). <br/><br/> One Unit under DFFPO is IBRD-IDA Corporate Finance (IICF). IICF's mainresponsibilities include i) the replenishment and stewardship of IDA withprimary focus on IDA's medium- to long-term financial planning andsustainability, balance sheet optimizations, and overall balance sheetmanagement, ii) IBRD's medium- to long-term financial planning andsustainability, overall balance sheet management, and annual decisions on loanterms and income allocations, iii) developing innovative financial strategies,policies, and products to address unique challenges, and iv) managing IDA'scapital subscription and voting rights and related member relations andcommunications. To effectively deliver its work program, IICF is structuredinto four clusters:<br/><br/><strong>1. Financial Strategy and Policy:</strong> responsible for monitoring IBRD andIDA's medium- and long-term financial outlook and setting financial strategiesand policies to ensure IBRD and IDA's financial strength and long-termfinancial sustainability. These policies include those related to loan pricingand repayment terms, capital management, income allocation, balance sheetmanagement, as well as implementation of IDA's relatively new hybrid financialmodel since it recently started issuing bonds in capital markets as a triple-Arated issuer. In addition, the team identifies income and balance sheetvulnerabilities; assesses the income and capital impact of any strategicdecisions or new programs/initiatives; monitors the adequacy of income andcapital to support lending and other development activities; and developsstrategies for optimal use of capital as well as to address potentialshortfalls in capital and income.<br/><br/><strong>2. Strategic Initiatives:</strong> jointly with other relevant counterparts,undertakes strategic initiatives to advance corporate agenda with a primaryfocus on boosting IBRD and IDA's financing capacity and developing solutions toaddress client needs. While the work program of this cluster is expected to bedynamic, it currently includes overseeing financial strategies and policies ofIDA Replenishments, debt relief and arrears clearance, local currencyfinancing, private capital mobilization/facilitation/enabling, IDA's PrivateSector Window (PSW), CRDCs (climate resilient debt clauses), hybrid capital,portfolio guarantee platform, at-risk financing, and other highly strategicinitiatives as the team may undertake time to time.<br/><br/><strong>3. IDA Capital:</strong> engages with IDA members on capital matters(subscriptions, contributions, encashments, among others), and contributes tothe recording, accounting, and reporting of these.<br/><br/><strong>4. Data & Analytics: </strong>In support of above areas ofresponsibilities, the cluster establishes and maintains robust data andanalytical infrastructure in the form of advanced financial models, databases,IT systems, and expertise to ensure robust support to the above- mentionedactivities, in addition to providing critical data analytics for the benefit ofWBG Senior Management. <br/><br/><strong>Rolesand Responsibilities</strong><br/>The selectedcandidate will work in the Data & Analytics cluster and help support the otherclusters as needed. Primary responsibilities will include:<br/>• Support the ongoing analysis of IBRD and IDA corporate balance sheet projection models and risk exposure models. These models make projections for capital adequacy, financing needs, and risk exposures (FX exposure, interest rate exposure, etc.). The analysis generated from the models is presented at Asset Liability Management Committee and directly supports WBG senior leadership decisions.<br/>• Perform data cleaning, validation, and standardization of large, multi-source datasets and conduct routine quality assurance and reconciliation checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data used for reporting, dashboards, and analytical outputs.<br/>• Contribute to the recurring WBG senior leadership reporting and help analyze key risk indicators, income, commitments, compliance with policy frameworks, and progress towards institutional targets.<br/>• Support technical enhancements to ongoing analytic responsibilities designed to increase process automation, centralize data, improve efficiency, and improve process controls.<br/>• Contribute to developing, testing, or enhancing AI-assisted analytics (e.g. chatbots, virtual assistants, agent-based systems, intranet search).<br/>• Help the team engage with IT for ongoing projects and provide input on design requirements and perform user acceptance testing.<br/>• Contribute to improvements in the reporting and visualization of the team's analysis, including creating new dashboards or expanding existing dashboards. <br/>• Help the team improve synergies with other areas of the WBG, strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and increase the depth and rigor of the team's analysis.<br/>• Contribute to the ad hoc data and analysis requests used for high-level policy and research papers and/or presentations.<br/><br/>Selection Criteria<br/><br/>The ideal candidate should have a combination of the following experience and skills:<br/>• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Math, IT, or related field. Progress toward the CFA, PRM, or FRM is a plus.<br/>• At least 2 years of work experience with at least 1 year of direct experience in Banking, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, or ALM.<br/>• High analytical ability and critical thinking skills as demonstrated by work in relevant areas and/or academic qualifications.<br/>• Exhibit high intellectual curiosity and proactively investigate analytical topics to bring added depth, rigor, and value-added insight.<br/>• Strong background in statistical data analysis and other quantitative techniques with exposure to or use of statistical and machine-learning techniques (e.g., clustering, regression); knowledge of statistical high-level data analysis languages such as Matlab, R/RStudio, or QuantLib would be a strong plus.<br/>• Strong skills and experience with large data sets and multiple databases with ability to extract, clean, validate, and analyze data using advanced Excel (Power Query), SQL, and Python. Broader experience with other object-oriented programming languages (VBA, Java, C++ etc.) is a plus.<br/>• Knowledge of AI prompt engineering and ability to create AI agents to increase data availability and improve operating efficiency.<br/>• Good understanding financial product types including loans, bonds, swaps, forward agreements, and options.<br/>• Familiarity with IDA financing instruments, allocation frameworks (PBA), and the replenishment process.<br/>• Ability to translate policy rules and operational guidelines into analytical logic and experience in producing decision-ready analysis for senior management and donors.<br/>• Knowledge of financial concepts including balance sheet management, ALM theories, yield curve bootstrapping, valuation methods, hedging practices, interest rate modeling, economic capital estimation, and/or financial risk measurement.<br/>• Good data visualization skills and associated experience with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and the ability to design clear, intuitive outputs for non-technical audiences.<br/>• Knowledge of other IT elements and tools useful to strengthen and automate analytic process (e.g. data modeling, webpage design, PL/SQL, Azure, Angular, DataBricks, etc.)<br/>• Knowledge and prior experience with the World Bank or MDB financial policies and products is a plus.<br/>• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and the ability to create a clear analytic narrative by integrating data, visuals, and context into actionable insights and recommendations.<br/>• Good team player with ability to collaborate across policy, operations, and technical teams.<br/>• Ability to work under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines.<br/><br/><strong>WBG Culture Attributes:</strong><br/><br/>1.
