Epic Dorothy and Comfort Analyst

Kforce has a client in Madison, WI that is seeking an Epic Dorothy and Comfort Analyst. Summary: The Epic Home Health & Hospice Application Analyst is responsible for the configuration, support, and optimization of Epic solutions supporting home health and hospice clinical and billing workflows. This role partners with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle stakeholders to ensure Epic supports regulatory requirements, clinician efficiency, and accurate reimbursement for post-acute care services. This is a hands-on Epic build and support role and does not involve custom software development or coding. Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and support Epic Home Health and Hospice modules, including Epic Dorothy and Epic Comfort
  • Build and support clinical documentation tools, including Navigators, Flowsheets, and SmartTools
  • Configure order sets, order preferences, and Medication Administration Record (MAR) behavior
  • Support mobile clinical workflows, including Epic Hyperdrive and Rover (iPad) configurations for field-based staff
  • Design and support Home Health and Hospice-specific workflows in alignment with clinical and operational needs
  • Build and maintain Epic Episode-Based Billing (EBB) to support post-acute billing models and payer reimbursement
  • Ensure Epic build complies with Medicare, payer, and regulatory requirements affecting Home Health and Hospice
  • Provide ongoing application support, including incident resolution, enhancements, and end-user support
  • Collaborate with clinicians, billing teams, compliance teams, and IT stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and go-live support as required

Requirements:

  • Epic certification or significant hands-on experience in Epic Dorothy and/or Epic Comfort
  • Experience supporting Home Health and/or Hospice workflows within Epic
  • Strong Epic build experience with clinical documentation, Navigators, Flowsheets, SmartTools, and orders
  • Experience with Epic Rover and/or Hyperdrive in mobile clinical environments
  • Familiarity with post-acute billing concepts and Epic Episode-Based Billing (EBB)
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to Home Health and Hospice
  • Experience providing tiered application support and managing support tickets
  • Ability to work directly with clinical and operational users to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional Epic certifications such as Epic Ambulatory
  • Prior experience supporting post-acute care organizations or health systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate clinical needs into Epic configuration

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
