The area this account manager would be responsible for would be concentrated to the airports near the East Coast of the US along with all of South America. Travel is expected and can be up to 35%.The job consists of interfacing with customers (Airports, Airlines and General Contractors) during the bid phase through manufacture and delivery if needs be. You will also need to be out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary.The role is fully remote but must live on the eastern side of the US.ResponsibilitiesMeet with customers, architects, specification writers and industry specialists to promote Jetway products and services.Book, plan and represent Oshkosh AeroTech Jetway at industry shows and conventions.Conduct written and verbal communication with customers, agents and write needed supporting documentation for project bid submissions.Review in detail tender documentation and ensure that all required submittal materials are included with associated proposals.Coordinate with Bids & Proposal department to develop, understand and effectively communicate the scope of work.Support and assist Regional Sales Managers sales efforts, receiving or downloading, logging, distributing and control of tender documentation from customers.Work in the company's sales software tool and data entry to support projects and forecasting.Gain a technical understanding our products. Be able to discuss product options as well as have a basic understanding of the preperformance characteristics.Develop and update proposal submittals and technical write-ups, coordinate with Bids and Proposals Department the final proposal submittal.Commit to deadlines, working overtime when necessary.Interact and assist other Jetway departments with requests for data.Develop, maintain and analyze historical data regarding departmental performance.Obtain, organize and distribute competitive information to the sales force.Participate in internally focused cross-functional teams in product design and development process.Must know and understand market customer base and key players within it.
