<p><b>Business Development Principal – Specialty Pharmacy & Distribution</b></p><p>Join Accredo Specialty Pharmacy and CuraScript Specialty Distribution as a Business Development Principal, where you will drive strategic growth and long-term value across key manufacturer partnerships. In this senior, externally facing role, you will shape account strategy, strengthen executive relationships, and identify opportunities that expand services, improve programs, and support sustained revenue growth across the specialty pharmacy and distribution portfolio.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Own and grow strategic relationships with Specialty Pharma Manufacturers, serving as a senior advisor and primary business development contact.</li><li>Develop and execute short- and long-term account strategies that drive revenue growth, retention, and strategic alignment.</li><li>Guide client renewal and retention strategies by leveraging market insight, program performance, and financial metrics.</li><li>Identify, evaluate, and advance new sales opportunities including upsell, program expansion, and new service adoption.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with product, account management, operations, clinical, and sales teams to ensure account expectations are met.</li><li>Anticipate market, regulatory, and business challenges and recommend process, product, or service enhancements.</li><li>Lead and influence complex, high-impact initiatives that have enterprise-wide implications.</li><li>Represent Accredo and CuraScript externally as a recognized specialty pharmacy and distribution expert.</li><li>Support RFP responses, contract negotiations, and renegotiations while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.</li><li>Use data-driven insights and executive communication to position the organization as a strategic partner to manufacturer leadership.</li></ul><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic accounts, consulting, or enterprise partnerships within healthcare or pharma.</li><li>Proven experience leading complex account strategies and negotiating high-value contracts.</li><li>Strong business acumen with working knowledge of program metrics, financials, and performance indicators.</li><li>Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.</li><li>Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritize work, make independent decisions, and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.</li><li>Ability to travel approximately 50% to support client and business needs.</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).</li><li>MBA or advanced degree.</li><li>Experience within Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, or PBM environments.</li><li>Demonstrated success operating as a trusted counterpart to senior pharmaceutical executives.</li><li>Experience serving in a mentorship or leadership role across teams.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><br><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation and long term incentive plan.</p><p></p><p>At The Cigna Group, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits, with a focus on supporting your whole health.
