Behavioral Health Scheduling and Auditing Specialist

About the position

Responsibilities

  • Answer client calls and explain programming to potential clients.
  • Schedule clients for behavioral health screenings and provide confirmation calls.
  • Ensure initial client contact with Mt. Carmel Behavioral Health is positive, empathic, and validating.
  • Manage personal responses to activated and/or acute mental health clients.
  • Address concerns of clients and connect them with appropriate services.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Gateway Coordinator and clinical team regarding scheduling clients and procedures.
  • Obtain feedback from clients regarding therapeutic experience and program effectiveness.
  • Update, collect, track, and distribute weekly stats.
  • Gather programmatic statistical data.
  • Take on projects to further the growth of the program.
  • Audit clinical files to ensure State Compliance.
  • File client files and documents.
  • Perform data entry and tracking to demonstrate program effectiveness and needs.
  • Work with program interns and candidates to encourage and facilitate learning.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workspace and obtain supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in related fields (Health information management, psychology, etc.).
  • Understanding and familiarity with HIPAA and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Customer/Client Service Experience (2+ years).
  • Use of personal cell phone for team communications (text, phone, email, etc.).
  • Clerical experience (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Excel.
  • Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work in a capricious environment while maintaining empathy and mental/emotional self-regulation.
  • Self-driven and motivated to complete job duties.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week consistently.
  • Ability to assist potential clients when they are experiencing mental health challenges within the scope of the position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Psychology, Human Services, or Counseling related field.
  • 2+ years previous work experience with a Counseling/Behavioral Health Agency.
  • Experience in research methods/statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Military culture and common struggles of military members and their families.
