Apprentice Electrician - Field Services

Our client is looking for a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician to join their growing field services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the trade from experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in a variety of electrical installations and maintenance tasks. While the role requires presence at various job sites primarily in and around Burnaby, British Columbia, CA , there will be opportunities for hybrid work, allowing for some administrative tasks or training to be completed remotely. You will work under the direct supervision of a certified journeyman electrician, assisting with wiring, conduit installation, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting journeyman electricians with the installation and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Pulling electrical wires and cables. Installing electrical apparatus, fixtures, and control equipment. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Performing basic electrical maintenance and preventative checks. Identifying and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Learning and applying all safety procedures and company policies. Preparing materials and tools for job assignments. Completing all required apprenticeship documentation accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in or eligible for an accredited electrician apprenticeship program. A strong mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. The ability to follow instructions precisely and a willingness to learn are paramount. This role involves significant hands-on work and a commitment to professional development within the electrical trade. While a portion of your time might be spent on administrative tasks that can be done remotely, the majority of your role will be on-site, making this a hybrid position.
