Pioneering the Future of Global E-Commerce Logistics

At Amazon, our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. This commitment extends far beyond electronics and books; we have completely revolutionized how families receive their daily sustenance. The Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods delivery network is a specialized, ultra-fast logistics operation dedicated to transporting temperature-sensitive groceries directly to the customer's kitchen table. Weekends are the absolute peak of grocery delivery as families prep their meals for the week ahead. We are actively seeking highly energetic, exceptionally organized individuals with a strong Bias for Action to join our grocery delivery team exclusively for Saturday and Sunday operations. When you step into a role as an Amazon Weekend Fresh Delivery Driver, you are taking on a highly unique driving job that blends the speed of an emergency courier with the white-glove hospitality of a premium grocery service. If you thrive under strict deadlines and want a physically active weekend role that directly impacts families in your community, this is the ultimate opportunity to maximize your weekend income.

About the Role: The Elite Weekend Grocery Courier

As an Amazon Weekend Fresh Delivery Driver, you operate in a high-velocity, highly specialized segment of the last-mile supply chain during our busiest days of the week. You will pilot a specialized Amazon delivery vehicle on Saturdays and Sundays, focusing exclusively on ultra-fast, 1-to-2-hour delivery windows. Unlike standard package delivery, your cargo is highly delicate and time-sensitive. You will be transporting insulated thermal bags packed with fresh produce, frozen meats, eggs, and fragile glass jars. Your primary objective is to maintain the strict "cold chain" integrity of the groceries while navigating complex urban and suburban routes with surgical precision. This weekend role requires exceptional spatial organization within your vehicle, a profound respect for food safety protocols, and the ability to hustle relentlessly to beat the ticking delivery clock.

A Day in the Life of a Weekend Fresh Delivery Driver

Your Saturday shift operates at breakneck speed. You arrive at a specialized Amazon Fresh sub-node or a designated Whole Foods staging area. You open the proprietary Amazon delivery app, which pings you with a highly optimized, multi-stop grocery route. You grab a customized cart loaded with dozens of heavy, insulated brown paper bags. You have mere minutes to strategically load these bags into your van, grouping them perfectly by customer address to ensure you aren't digging around later. You hit the road, racing against a strict 2-hour delivery SLA (Service Level Agreement). You arrive at an upscale apartment building, load six heavy grocery bags onto your collapsible dolly, and navigate the elevators to the customer's exact door. You carefully place the groceries to avoid blocking the screen door, capture a digital confirmation photo, and sprint back to your van to hit the next stop before the ice cream in the next order melts. It is an intense, incredibly rewarding cardiovascular workout that makes your weekend highly profitable.

Comprehensive and Detailed Responsibilities

• Cold-Chain & Fragile Logistics: Take absolute ownership of the integrity of the customer's weekend food delivery. You must handle insulated thermal bags with extreme care, ensuring that delicate items (like eggs, bread, and produce) are never crushed, and that frozen items are delivered rapidly to prevent spoilage.
• High-Velocity Weekend Route Execution: Utilize the proprietary Amazon routing application to execute "ultra-fast" weekend delivery blocks. You must aggressively manage your time, utilizing expert local knowledge and GPS to bypass Saturday traffic and meet strict 1-to-2-hour customer delivery windows.
• Advanced Freight Organization: Master the spatial organization of your delivery van. You must systematically load dozens of identically colored grocery bags so they can be retrieved instantly at each stop, minimizing time spent idling at the curb.
• Urban Physical Agility: Execute the extreme physical demands of grocery delivery. You will constantly push heavy dollies stacked high with groceries up steep driveways, through complex residential building lobbies, and up multiple flights of stairs.
• Premium Customer Hospitality: Provide a highly polished, friendly customer experience. Because customers are home on the weekends waiting for their dinner ingredients, you will frequently interact with them face-to-face, requiring a warm, professional, and highly accommodating demeanor.

What Our Drivers Say: Real Employee Perspectives

Grocery delivery is renowned for its intense pace and highly appreciative customers. A current Amazon Fresh weekend driver noted in a company review: "Delivering for Amazon Fresh on the weekends is a completely different beast than standard packages. It is incredibly fast-paced, and it is a massive physical workout because grocery bags are heavy—especially when a customer orders five cases of bottled water to a third-floor walk-up on a Sunday! But honestly, I love it as a second job. The shifts fly by because you are always racing the clock. The routing app is brilliant, the vans are super easy to park, and the customers are always so happy and grateful to see you. It’s a very satisfying, active driving job to boost my bank account over the weekend."

Industry-Leading Total Rewards and Benefits

We reward the intense hustle of our weekend grocery couriers with a dominant Total Rewards package:

You also have access to the Anytime Pay app, allowing you to withdraw a portion of your earned wages immediately after your weekend shift ends.
• Flexibility for the Week: Perfect for individuals who want to dedicate their Saturdays and Sundays to earning extra income while leaving their Monday through Friday completely untouched.
• Comprehensive Healthcare Options: Access to premium medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage options for you and your family.
• Paid Time Off: Accrue generous Paid Time Off (PTO) from day one, ensuring you get the critical rest needed to recover from the physical demands of the role.

Basic Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Must be exactly 21 years of age or older to operate commercial delivery vehicles under our insurance guidelines.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license with a remarkably clean, safe driving record (minimal points, no major infractions).
• Must be fully available and committed to working Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Elite physical stamina and athletic endurance are absolute requirements; you must be capable of lifting, carrying, and hauling multiple heavy grocery bags (up to 50 pounds each) up flights of stairs and across long distances continuously throughout your shift.

• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and a standard 5-panel drug test prior to employment.
